Glorious weather and a rip-roarin’ Barn Dance :)

It’s been such a beautiful day here at CLC; despite predictions of severe thunderstorms hitting camp by lunch time, we witnessed a day that could not have been more peaceful and uplifting. The sun shined down on our first day of classes all day long and the 84°F weather was a welcome reminder that, yes, it IS summertime in Pennsylvania!

At dinner, several campers reported that every single one of their classes had been wonderful and had trouble deciding what their favorite part of the day had been because it was all just SO good. Some of the awesome classes being held this session include writing, Quidditch (a very popular repeat from last session), science, swimming (for which campers and staff were very grateful on this warm day), mountain biking, music, theater, canoeing, photography, and many more…

This evening everyone is having a blast getting goofy and “country” at the Barn Dance over at Alford Hall. There will certainly be many entertaining pictures taken this evening; check for updates on camp pictures at the CLC SmugMug website (http://crystallakecamps.smugmug.com/). During Rest Hour today, the camp photographer (Natious) took cabin pictures, which should be added to the collection soon!

Tomorrow is another full day of classes, culminating in cabin cookouts at campfires all around camp and games at the game field 🙂
